We offer full service garden maintenance, design, installations, irrigation,  small tree pruning, consultations and teach workshops.  We work mainly in the city of Alameda, Oakland, Berkeley area, and San Francisco. Other Bay Area locations are possible, depending on the size of the job.  Please inquire.

Our residential garden maintenance could be set up as a weekly, bimonthly or monthly visits, depending on the size of your garden, the type of plants, and your special needs.  We offer everything from cutting back perennials, deadheading, pruning shrubs and trees, general clean-up ( raking leaves and weeding ), to selecting plants, planting, mulching, fertilizing, irrigation repair and removing debris.

Garden Design

We can create a design for your garden, either with drawings or by verbal conversations about what kind of garden you are envisioning.  We can design your garden that fits your own style, but our favorite style is informal, natural garden.  We like to use plants, shrubs and trees of varying texture and heights, with year round interest and color, attracting birds, butterflies and beneficial insects.  We can also design speciality gardens like child  and pet friendly gardens, with no poisonous plants and areas for your dog.  The client can be involved as little or much as you like.  For example, we are happy to have the client come along to the nursery with us for plant selection. 

Installations

We can install the garden design we created together, or your own design.  Besides the plants, shrubs and trees, we can add stone work (patios, paths, small walls and decorative rocks), water features (ponds, waterfalls, birdbaths and fountains), low-voltage lighting, mulching, and drip irrigation. 

Irrigation

To make your garden a success, we can install a drip irrigation system.  It will automatically water, just the right amount to each plant, and not water the non-planted areas.  The systems are easy to operate and easy to maintain.  A drip system is a great water saving alternative to a sprinkler system, or watering by hand.  Most drip systems will save 75% of water, compared with a sprinkler system. 

Consultation, coaching and workshops

If you are looking for some professional help in choosing the right plants for your garden, or just have a few questions, we can consult with you in person, over the phone, or via e-mail. 

If you are a gardener yourself, and need a little coaching in maintaining your garden, with pruning, picking out plants, irrigation trouble shooting, etc. we can work side by side with you in your garden. 

We can also set up a group workshop where we can discuss a specific topic, for example, pruning roses, and practice by doing, in one of our experiential, 1-3 hour workshops.
